| BEAUTIFUL
I brought
a girl a moonbeam
To decorate
her daydream
When what
she really wanted was the sun
I don't know
what it all meant
I got back
to my basement
To finish
all the work that I'd begun
The light
from a dying star
Will not
reach you until it's far far too late
But that night
we'll see what beautiful can be
That night
we'll see what beautiful can be
In the glow
of earthshine
I tangled
up my straight line
Then the
shooting star I'd hoped for went through me
She tapped
my basement window
There was
no way I could know
The roof
would slip the grip of gravity
The light
from a dying star
Will not
reach you until it's far far too late
But that night
we'll see what beautiful can be
That night
we'll see what beautiful can be
That night
we'll see what beautiful can be
That night
we'll see what beautiful can be
